So, you're interested in learning martial arts ...

There’s a lot of reasons why someone might start martial arts classes – some people want to stay in shape but find regular fitness classes boring, others want the confidence and security that self-defence training brings.  Whatever the reason, we’re here to help you achieve your goals.

About Us

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

The Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) focuses on the study of weapons first. Many other martial arts wait until a student has had years of training, but in FMA, it begins right away.

We start with the most essential: single stick, single knife, and empty hands. Soon enough though, you’ll learn a wide variety including double sticks, double knives, staff, sword, thrown weapons, and flexible weapons.

It’s exciting and challenging, and builds speed, stamina, quick reflexes, and lifelong skills.

OUR FOCUS

Our training covers a broad range of material, so there’s something in it for everyone. It’s all tailored to your unique attributes like size, age, reach, and even your personality. No matter what, you’ll be building solid martial arts skills.

1.

Stickfighting

Sticks are an essential part of the Filipino Martial Arts. Whether used singly, double, in conjunction with a knife, or as a long staff, sticks provide the basis for our martial art.

2.

Blades

Knives are a common weapon, both throughout history and in to modern times. We teach you the effective ways to wield a knife and how to defend against blades of all sizes.

3.

Empty Hands

You’ve always got your hands, so why not learn to use them? Punches, kicks, grappling, throws, and much more – all if this is tightly integrated with our weapons skills.
